Parking Permit Information
ChathamBorough
Parking Permits for the Chatham Borough Railroad Station are available to Chatham Borough residents only, at a yearly cost of $300.00. At the present time there is a waiting list for Railroad Permits. Metered parking is available to the general public at $4.00 per day. All metered spaces are numerically marked and coins or a token should be deposited in the box on the platform and the space number should be entered. A receipt will be issued as proof of payment.
They also maintain three parking lots for business owners/employees and apartment residents.( Bowers Lane, Center Street East and Center Street West). Call them to find out if there are currently any yearly permits available for these lots to Chatham Borough commuters.
Parking tokens may be purchased at various locations: the train station coffee shop, Commerce Bank, Peapack-Gladstone Bank, Village Hardware, Liberty Drugs, Chatham Jewelers, and the municipal offices in Chatham Borough and Chatham Township.
Daily spaces are also available to the general public at train stations in Convent Station ($1), Madison ($5) and Summit ($7). A limited number of annual railroad parking permits are also available in Convent Station ($240), Madison ($500) and Summit ($1600) for the general public.

Maplewood:
Parking Permits

Maplewood is very popular for its jitney bus service to and from the train during morning and evening rush hour commuter times.

Applications Can Be Completed One of the Following Ways:
1. In person at the Office of the Township Clerk, 574 Valley Street between 9am-4:30pm Monday-Friday (until 7pm every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month)
2. Mail completed application, payment and copy of proof of residence to Office of the Township Clerk, 574 Valley Street, Maplewood, 07040
3. Drop off completed application, payment and copy of proof of residence to the Concierge Company at the Maplewood Train Station
There are forms for permits and passes which are available through the Township Clerk’s Office but they are not required.Payment and copies of required documentation are enough.

Millburn-Short Hills
With easy access via rail, highway, bus and air it is understandable why Millburn and Short Hills have become a popular choice for young professionals moving from Manhattan.
There are two railroad stations serving the area, one in the heart of Short Hills and the other in the center of Millburn, from where New York Penn Station is just a 35 to 40 minute ride on NJ Transit ‘s Midtown Direct Train Line. Going to down town Manhattan? The PATH Rapid Transit System takes commuters straight into Hoboken, as well as New York’s financial district. For the scenic route, many commuters prefer to take the ferry across from Hoboken instead.
Commuter parking lots are available to residents of Millburn/ Short Hills, and in Millburn you even have the luxury of valet parking! Parking at Millburn and Short Hills train stations is on a first come, first served basis. Permits cost $360 per year and are issued by the Tax Collector at Millburn Town Hall, 375 Millburn Avenue, Millburn, 07041. For more information call 973-564-7083 during office hours.
By car, routes 24, 280, I-78, the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway are all within easy access. Newark Liberty Airport, a major continental and international gateway, is a 20 minute drive away.
Summit
Applications may be mailed or dropped off at The Summit Permit Center, 71 Summit Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901.They can be reached by phone at 908-522-1700.
All residents who use the long term resident parking lots need to have the new white permit displayed on vehicles. Those vehicles without the new parking permit will be ticketed. Those with pre-paid permits are issued hanging tags to place on their rearview mirror. Those who pay daily will receive a sticker.
Resident Owned Vehicles: Valid NJ registration showing your name and current Summit home address.
Lease of Company Owned:Valid NJ driver’s license showing your name and current summit home address and
Valid NJ registration for leased or company owned vehicle and
Valid insurance card showing your Summit home address, if you pay, or
Recent personal residential phone, internet or cable bill, if the company pays the insurance.
Permits can be prepaid or you can pay per day. Pre-paid rates are $60 a month, $175 for the quarter or $600 for the year. If you choose to pay daily, you will need to pay $3 per day at the machines located in the garage.
Non-Resident Parking Permits are available at the following rates: Monthly $110, Quarterly $330, Annually $1,165.
